2017 – Race 3 – Bayford Meadows

Overall this was a disappointing weekend, and our least competitive Owner Driver race.

The theme for the weekend was simply understeer that we never managed to cure. Unfortunately, Callam, who we had worked with for the first two rounds was away at SuperOne and we had a new engineer. For whatever reason things didn’t click.

Qualify was not terrible, 7th but a long way from pole.

Heat 1 – A good start up to 6th, but some bumping and down to 8th, with a good move on the last lap left James in 7th.

Heat 2- Just lacked pace, but James kept pushing at one stage up to 5th and was a sitting duck at the end of the straight towards the end of the race and finished 9th.

Heat 3- We changed to the test engine to see if that was any better……and it wasn’t. Finished 9th.
