ABOUT JAMES

Find out about James’ journey up the motorsport ladder.

James is a British Racing Driver and Driver Coach.

Following in the wheel tracks of his father Mark, James started his journey in karting at aged 8 and proceeded to go on and enjoy success in karting, single seaters and now GT racing.

James made his car racing debut at 14 years old in the ultra-competitive Ginetta Junior Championship at the end of the 2020 campaign.

2021 Season

Driving for Preptech, that would be where he would remain for the full season in 2021 as he established himself on the TOCA support package finishing 6th in the Rookie Championship.

2022 Season

An exciting transition to single-seater motorsport followed towards the latter stages of 2022 as he partnered with Fortec Motorsport for the final two rounds of British F4. Competing against some of the brightest talents, he made his mark as one to watch at Silverstone and Brands Hatch before confirming his return to the category for 2023.

2023 Season

James continued to race for Fortec Motorsport, where he quickly established himself as a consistent front runner with several pole positions,  multiple race wins, including the 250th ever British Formula 4 race and a number of other podiums. James finished the close fort seasion in 6th Place.

2024 Season

For the 2024 season, James signed with Rodin Motorsport. It was season filled with many highs but just a few too many lows to challange for the championship. James finished just 2.5 points off 3rd Place.

2025 Season

James completed a significant number of GB3 tests with Fortec Motorsport and CDR with a view to competing in the 2025 GB3 Championship, however was unable to secure the funding required. James went on to test GT3 machinery with Greystone GT in preparation for the switch to GT racing in 2026.

2026 Season

James is completing in the 2026 McLaren Trophy with CSA sponsored by Autoglym.
