James’ second owner driver race meeting was just as challenging as the first.
Qualifying was disappointing, James didn’t manage the traffic as well as he should have done and qualified 9th, 0.3secs off pole.
The first pre-final was very close with James finishing 7th at the back of the lead pack, 1.1 secs behind the winner.
The second pre-final seemed like a grudge match with Fraser Brunton, they hit each other several times, wasting time and letting the leaders pull away. James finished 8th.
For the final James lines up 7th, and was quickly up to 5th on the back of the lead pack (pic below), but a bump from behind pushed James into spin….. 12th at the flag. Amazingly still a trophy for 2 novice home! Next time!
