Our first race with Virtus Motorsport and James’ last as a novice.
Testing went well on Saturday with James on the pace from the start.
Qualifying was the highlight of day, in mixed conditions James qualified on the front row. The time on James’ dash was quicker than Theo who took pole!
Once we switched to slicks in the races things didn’t go so well, with James lacking pace, eventually traced to one slightly deformed rear tyre. This was almost certainly due to me overinflating the tyre when putting it on! Race 1 – 4th, Race 2 – 7th, and final 11th. Our worst result for a while, but lots of positives to take away, and a new set of tyres purchased!
