James Higgins will contest the final two Endurance Cup rounds of 2026 GT World Challenge Europe season after inking a deal with CSA Racing.
In what is the latest step in his fledgling sportscar career, the British racer will drive a McLaren 720S GT3 EVO at the world-famous Nürburgring this weekend (August 28-30), before then competing at Portimao on October 16-18.
Higgins’ association with CSA Racing has flourished over the course of this season, with the 20-year-old having made an immediate impact in McLaren Trophy Europe, where he has already scored two podium finishes and produced a number of standout performances.
In addition to that, Higgins was given a one-off opportunity to sample GT3 machinery at the Spa-Francorchamps Prologue and after impressing, he’s now set to make his eagerly-anticipated debuts in one of the most coveted GT categories on the planet.
Set to compete in the Silver Cup Class. Higgins will share the #555 machine with Romain Andriolo and Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer.

“Having had the opportunity to develop and improve in McLaren Trophy Europe this year, as well as sample the car at Spa, I feel like I’m in a good place heading into the weekend with the team.
“GT World Challenge Europe is without a doubt one of the toughest championships in the world, so naturally I can’t wait to see where I stack up against some of the biggest names in endurance racing.
“We’re not going to be there to make up the numbers so we’ll head to the Nürburgring with a focus on running at the sharp end and hopefully we can come away with a good result.”
