A good start to the championship, but it could have been so much better!
Following promising form in wet and icey conditions over the winter, and quick times on Saturday in practice James was looking forward to Round 1 of the Sandown InKart Cadet Championship on 31st January 2016.
After qualifying on pole position for the A- Final a mistake at turn one in the damp conditions saw James drop to the back of the field, completing lap 1 in 8th place. A great drive by James and a little luck as others were also caught out by the conditions saw James recovering to finish 3rd, setting fastest lap of the day in the process.
