Higgins looking to graduate to GB3 in 2025

Multiple Formula 4 race winner James Higgins is looking to gradutate to GB3 in 2025 after an impressive testing performance at Silverstone in December.

Testing for Fortec Motorsport, James’ race team from 2023, he was on the pace from the first session in very difficult conditions. The extra power and grip of the GB3 machine really suited James and ended both days near the very top of the timing sheets.

For 2025, GB3 will use a new car with DRS (just like Formula 1 cars), a more powerful engine and improved aerodynamics that should see faster laptimes at all the Grand Prix tracks they visit.

The new car and calander makes GB3 an exciting prospect for 2025 albeit a very expensive one! The new car and additional European races have seen the budgets demanded by the teams increase by over 50%, making gradutation far from a certainty.

James Higgins: “It would be amazing to graduate to GB3 next year, I am confident I can challange for wins from Round 1 with the right team.”

“I really want to continue with single seaters as long as possible, I am getting better and still developing as a driver, it will just depend on the budget we can raise over the winter.”

‘Motorsport is a journey with amazing highs and frustrating difficult lows, we now need a sponsor that wants be join us and experience the full thrill of the motorsport journey first hand as critical part of the Team. “

“Whatever happens I will give it my all!”
