So near yet so far!
On the back of the previous rounds performance, the switch to the Synergy chassis and a great days testing at Buckmore the previous week hopes were high. Saturdays testing went well and we looked like we were there or thereabouts.
Qualifying – Finally Pole!
Heat 1 – In the end a fairly straight forward win! Zach Ripley followed us home for once, although it looked like his focus was more on keeping L Horsley from getting past, thanks Zach.
Heat 2 – James lead from Pole for the first 3 laps, but a small error allowed Louis Horsley and Zach Ripley through. James was back in 2nd on lap 8 in the lead battle. Unfortunately it didn’t last James finishing 3rd.
Final – 3rd almost throughout, James was in the thick of the battle for the lead on lap 11, when an opportunistic move from Declan on the grass left James out of contention in 4th. Overall disappointing and annoying that Declan didn’t get a penalty, but that is karting.
